§ Mr. RyderThe following list of research projects covers most of the publicly funded research relevant to microbial food poisoning ongoing and newly commissioned over the past two years. A fuller reply could be prepared only at disproportionate cost.
§ Mr. AshleyTo ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what funding has been provided by his Department for the salmonella research being carried out by Dr. Geoffrey Mead at the Institute of Food Research in Bristol; what were the objectives of the research; what information has been obtained from it; when the funding is to cease; if a request has been made for it to continue; and if he will make a statement.
