HC Deb 21 December 1988 vol 144 c263W
Mr. Speller

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the existing consents for discharges of sewage, treated or raw, and trade effluent into the Bristol channel, and those applications that are currently awaiting a decision on both the Welsh and the English side.

Mr. Moynihan

[holding answer 19 December 1988]: This information is not held centrally. The public registers which, in common with other authorities, the Severn Trent, South West, Welsh and Wessex water authorities are required to maintain, contain details of all authorised discharges of sewage and trade effluent to the British channel.
