To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has any plans to increase the limits on savings-related share option schemes for employees.

[holding answer 19 December 1988]: The operation of approved employee share schemes is kept under constant review. We shall continue to examine sympathetically the wide variety of proposals made for improvements in this area, to see how far they are capable of building on the impressive progress in employee share ownership which has already been achieved.
