§ Mr. NeubertHendon East camp is being sold following public tender. A national firm of agents has conducted a programme of advertising in the property press and circulated potential purchasers to ensure that all those who might wish to tender were given the opportunity to do so.
254WThe Ministry of Defence has consulted with the local authority on the production of a planning brief for the site, but it will be for the eventual purchaser to obtain planning permission in the normal way before undertaking development. Negotiations with a preferred tenderer are proceeding. I am aware of the concerns of the trustees of the RAF museum.
