§ Mrs. RumboldInformation on the occupational backgrounds of school governors is not collected centrally. The Education (No. 2) Act 1986 provides for parent governors to be elected by and from parents of registered pupils at the school. It is thus a matter for the whole parent body to decide who can best represent parents' interests on the governing body.
