§ Mr. StrangTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy whether he will list by subject matter the 57 prosecutions of companies for breaches of health and safety law on offshore oil and gas platforms referred to in the answer of 27 October,Official Report, column 316; and what fines were imposed for each of those which resulted in convictions.
§ Mr. Peter MorrisonA list of subject matter of the 57 prosecutions can only be obtained at disproportionate 225W cost. However, a register of convictions of companies for breaches of health and safety legislation on offshore installations is held in my department and is available for inspection. If the hon. Member wishes I shall make arrangements for him to come and inspect it.
