To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what representations he has received requesting section 138 powers to be granted to the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he has any plans to extend section 138 powers to the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend has no plans to extend section 138 powers to the London Fire and Civil Defence Authority. There is no case for giving the authority access to these powers.
