§ Mrs. Virginia BottomleyEnglish Heritage's grant in aid for 1988–89 is £65.863 million; the provision for the next three years is £72.3 million, £74.5 million, £76.3 million. There is no specific allocation within these figures for the scheduled monument programme: English Heritage is responsible for the allocation of its overall resources between individual programmes.
