§ Mr. Peter BottomleyThe Department's northern regional office has a number of options under consideration for the improvement of the Al trunk road near to the English-Scottish border. It is possible that the preferred scheme may extend into Scotland. There are discussions with the Scottish Development Department and further meetings are planned. On current planning a preferred scheme should be announced by early summer 1989.
