§ Mr. John Evans
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs how many Vietnamese refugees are estimated to be resident in transit camps in Hong Kong.

§ Mr. Eggar
On 9 December there were 25,308 Vietnamese boat people in Hong Kong. Of these 15,231 have refugee status.

§ Mr. Rooker
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what discussions he has had with the Governor of Hong Kong on the plight of the Vietnamese refugees.

§ Mr. Eggar
We are in close and frequent contact with the Government of Hong Kong on all aspects of the problem of Vietnamese boat people.
