Whether British component manufacturers are benefiting from the increased productivity and profitability of British vehicle producers.

British component manufacturers are indeed benefiting from the improved performance of British vehicle producers. Output of motor vehicle parts in the four quarters to June this year was higher than in any comparable period since 1980. Over the past five years there has also been a general trend of higher profitability in this sector.
