Mr. O'NeillTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence, pursuant to his reply of 29 November,Official Report column 566, what rate of (a) fuel consumption, (b) road speed, (c) cross country speed, (d) period of time between automative failure, (e) rate of fire, (f) speed of target engagement, (g) rate of accuracy of initial shots, (h) total weight and (i) in-service date will be required of the tank that wins the competition currently being held to determine a replacement for the Chieftain tank.
