§ Mr. Michael ForsythThe total costs incurred by the Scottish Office are estimated to be in the region of £3.2 million comprising about £1 million for staff and associated administration costs, about £0.5 million in relation to analysis and monitoring and about £1.7 million for compensation to farmers in the restricted areas.
