§ Mr. Michael ForsythGreater Glasgow health board is currently conducting a strategic review of all accident and emergency services in Glasgow and has no plans to alter the level of accident and emergency services provided at Glasgow Western Infirmary. However, as a result of an earlier staffing review the senior medical staffing level has been strengthened. A full-time consultant in accident and emergency has taken up post and an appointment for a second full-time consultant has recently been made.
