§ Mr. RyderAll available world-wide information on the safety of food additives is assessed by the committees of independent experts who advise me on these matters. Any information which might subsequently affect the approval of any food additive is carefully reviewed. The prefix "E" indicates those food additives whose use has been approved throughout the European Community.
