§ Mr. RentonThe total numbers of south-east Asian refugees accepted for settlement in the United Kingdom in the years 1978 to 1987 and in the first half of 1988 are published in table 18 of "Control of Immigration: Statistics United Kingdom 1987" (Cm. 415) and in table 3 of Home Office statistical bulletin "Control of Immigration; Statistics—Second Quarter 1988" (Issue 27/88). Separate figures are not available for the number of these refugees who have come from Hong Kong.
