§ Mr. ButcherAn independent committee of inquiry into discipline in schools, under the chairmanship of Lord Elton, is currently considering what action might be taken to secure an orderly atmosphere in schools. Problems of violence form a part of the committee's remit. It aims to report around the end of this year.
