Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will list by year from 1979 to date, including the total so far this year, the number of deaths that have occurred on the railways in Yorkshire in(a) accidents, (b) suicides and (c) trespassing; and, of that total, how many were railway staff.

The table gives the information requested in respect of railways in Great Britain. Details of accidents on Northern Ireland railways are not reported to the Department of Transport.
