To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give details in theOfficial Report as to the extent of the disruption caused to the collection of taxes and to tax records as a result of the recent explosion in the tax offices in Londonderry; and whether any delays in the collection of taxes will result.

There was a temporary disruption to normal working in the tax and collection offices in Londonderry while alternative premises were being made ready.

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the cost of repairing the damage caused to the Inland Revenue building in Londonderry by the recent terrorist explosion there.

The building itself is beyond repair. Other arrangements to accommodate staff and work for the time being have been made.
