To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland whether the Government's target of 33,000 hectares of new planting per year has been met to date.

On 11 November 1988, the latest date for which information is available, there were 1,172 unfilled YTS places in the Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway area.
