To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a statement on the 1988 United Kingdom cereals harvest.

Mr. Ryder

My Department currently estimates the 1988 cereals harvest in the United Kingdom to be 21.0 million tonnes.

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give the latest estimates for the 1988 cereal harvest.
