§ Mr. ChopeThe steps outlined in paragraph 22 of the Public Accounts Committee's report on "Repayment Arrangements for Works Expenditure for US Forces", published on 20 April, have already yielded a substantial improvement. The estimated deficit at the end of the 1987–88 financial year is between £20 million and £22 million.
