To ask the Prime Minister what interdepartmental consultation she has established to assess the financial and commercial consequences of British time being one hour behind the rest of Europe.

As my right hon. Friend the Home Secretary explained in a reply to a question from my hon. Friend the Member for Ealing, North (Mr. Greenway) on 31 March, at column683, all Departments are being asked to consult interested groups as to the likely effect of harmonising summer time, and time in general, with other members of the Community.
