§ Mr. PageTo ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what additional expenditure is expected in 1988–89 in connection with the sale of shares in Rolls-Royce.
§ Mr. AtkinsResidual expenditure is expected in 1988–89, mainly due to a delay in the payment of stamp duty to the Inland Revenue. Parliamentary approval for this expenditure will be sought in a Supply Estimate of class V, vote 9. Pending that approval, urgent expenditure estimated at £2,500,000 will be met by repayable advances from the contingencies fund.
