To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in theOfficial Report figures showing the number of maternity payments made in 1987–88 to women in receipt of (a) supplementary benefit and (b) family income supplement.

The number of social fund maternity payments made during the period 6 April 1987 to 8 April 1988 was as follows:
