To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what is his latest estimate of the increase in the cost of the pressurised water reactor for the Trident submarine; and what are the implications for the total cost of the Trident project.

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what representations he has received about the latest estimate of the cost of Trident in relation to the original estimate.

One representation, in the form of a letter from a member of the public, has been received since I announced the revised Trident estimate in January this year.
