To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services whether the recommendations of the committee of inquiry into the outbreak of salmonella at Stanley Royd hospital, Wakefield have been implemented.

All health authorities have received copies of the committee of inquiry's report. Consideration has been given to each of the recommendations. Management guidelines have been published on hygiene and building issues, whilst further guidelines on hospital infection control and standard recipes will be circulated shortly.
