Mr. Nicholas BennettTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what number and percentage of the total electors in the district council areas of(a) Preseli, Pembrokeshire, and (b) south Pembrokeshire currently pay domestic rates; and what estimate he has of the number and percentage of electors in each area who will pay the community charge.
§ Mr. GristMy best estimate is that there are about 27,000 people in Preseli and 16,000 in south16W Pembrokeshire liable for domestic rates. This represents 51 per cent. of the electoral rolls in each district. Almost all adults will be liable for the community charge.
