§ Mr. EggarAscension Island Services is responsible for refuse collection on the island and ensures that refuse is collected on a regular basis. There are notices displayed around the island warning people that anyone caught dropping litter will be fined up to a maximum of £20. Also the Scouts carry out sponsored tidying-up campaigns from time to time.
