To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what information he has on the numbers of prisoners on remand transferred from London courts to Doncaster police cells; what types of offences they have been charged with; and how many are in each category.

On Wednesday 20 April, 24 prisoners remanded in custody by courts in the London area were held in police cells in Doncaster. Ten of these prisoners had been charged with theft, five with burglary, four with robbery and firearms offences, three with occasioning actual bodily harm and two with drug-related offences.
