§ Mr. Tony BanksTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will state the total costs incurred by his Department on foreign travel during the financial year 1987–88, indentified by(a) ministerial travel and (b) travel abroad by civil servants.
§ Mr. ParkinsonThe estimated costs of foreign travel by my Department in 1978–88 are about £33,000 for Ministers and their immediate staff and £240,000 for other staff, of which £10,800 and £26,700 respectively will be refunded by the EC.
