§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe number of notifiable offences recorded by the police in which firearms were reported to have been used is published annually in "Criminal Statistics, England and Wales" copies of which are available in the Library. Table 3.1 in the issue for 1986 (Cm. 233) gives figures for 1976 to 1986 inclusive. Comparable figures are not available before 1969, and figures for 1987 are not available yet.
