Dr. ThomasTo ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on the current progress of the long-term safety reviews for the Magnox nuclear reactor programme.
§ Mr. Michael SpicerThe CEGB has completed its reviews of Bradwell and Berkeley Magnox stations and the Health and Safety Executive's Nuclear Installations Inspectorate has published its findings of the assessments of these reviews. Copies of the reports have been placed in the Library of the House. The SSEB has nearly completed its review of Hunterston A Magnox station and the HSE expects to publish NII's findings of the assessment later this year. Assessments are in hand for the other Magnox stations.
