§ Mr. Cartwright
To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he now expects to publish the report of the public inquiry into the east London river crossing and to announce his decision on the project.

§ Mr. Channon
The inspector's report is being given very careful consideration. I cannot yet say when my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment and I will be able to announce our decision and publish the report.
