To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what recent discussions he has had with British Rail about links from the Channel tunnel to Wales; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friend discussed the Channel tunnel with the chairman of British Rail on 5 February. He underlined the importance to Wales of good links for passengers and freight.
