HC Deb 19 April 1988 vol 131 c426W
Mr. Boswell

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence to what extent he co-operates with other Commonwealth countries in joint defence procurement.

Mr. Sainsbury

There is regular contact with various members of the Commonwealth to explore co-operative opportunities in joint defence procurement, and I expect this process to continue. A number of equipments have resulted, including the CL89 drone and a magnetic anomaly detector with Canada, and the Ikara antisubmarine system, Barra sonobuoy and Jundivik target drone with Australia.
