To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many individuals are paid industrial disablement pension; and how many will have this disregarded for the purpose of calculating housing benefit(a) in Nottingham, North (b) in Nottingham and (c) in the United Kingdom.

Industrial disablement pension was in payment to about 184,000 people in the United Kingdom in April 1987, the latest date for which information is available. From April 1988, industrial disablement pension is not disregarded for the purpose of calculating housing benefit. Prior to April 1988 a statutory disregard of £4 applied. I regret that the other information requested is not available.
