Dr. Thomas

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what is the minimum height at which Royal Air Force aircraft are permitted to fly over land in Cyprus;

(2) what is the minimum height at which Royal Air Force aircraft are permitted to fly over land in Belize;

(3) what is the minimum height at which Royal Air Force aircraft are permitted to fly over land in the Falkland Islands.

[holding answer 22 February 1988]: RAF aircraft are stationed in Cyprus, Belize and the Falkland Islands for operational rather than training purposes. It is not our practice to comment on operational details.
