To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services which health district have secure hospital accommodation available within their own district.

Central information indicates that at the end of 1986 the following district health authorities had secure accommodation in one or more of their mentalillness or mental-handicap hospitals and units. Latest available information relating to permanent regional secure units was provided in my reply to my hon. Friend on 12 April 1988 at columns111–12.
