§ Mr. AtkinsThe following are the Invest in Britain Bureau (IBB) figures for inward investments announced in each year since 1979 for the United Kingdom by standard English region, Scotland and Wales (with Northern Ireland added). Table 1 shows for each region the number of projects as a proportion of the total for each year. Table 2 shows for each region the number of associated jobs (both new and safeguarded) as a proportion of each year's total. The data include only those inward investment projects currently known to the IBB. The associated capital investment is not known.
