§ Mr. Douglas HoggThe chief constable's full report on the police handling of the Hungerford incident was received on 1 October 1987. My right hon. Friend did not ask for any further information. He did, however, arrange for Her Majesty's inspector of constabulary to discuss 5W some of the issues raised in the report with the chief constable and to identify any lessons which the police service as a whole might learn from the incident. Her Majesty's inspector's report is expected shortly.
