HL Deb 11 April 1988 vol 495 c970WA
Lord Kilmarnock

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether, in amplification of the Lord Glenarthur's answers at col. 289 on 24th March 1988, they can state what the effect would be on the bilateral agreement with Spain of 2nd December 1987, if the Gibraltar Government did not agree to the arrangements for airport sharing.

Lord Glenarthur

If the House of Assembly does not make the necessary amendments to Gibraltar's legislation, the arrangements contained in the Anglo-Spanish Declaration on Gibraltar Airport will not come into operation. In this case, Gibraltar will remain excluded from the air transport liberalisation measures adopted by the European Community on 14th December 1987.
