§ Mr. AtkinsThe Rover Group announced on 26 October that it had agreed to sell Land Rover Leyland 457W International Holdings, the holding company for its Indian interests, to the Hinduja/Iveco Group. These interests comprise 39.04 per cent. of the commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland Ltd. and 59.09 per cent. of Ennore Foundries Ltd.
Following the completion of the sale of Land Rover Leyland International Holdings the Government will accept no further responsibility for ensuring that the obligations of Land Rover Leyland International Holdings, Ashok Leyland and Ennore Foundries are met.
