§ Mr. Michael ForsythMy right hon. and learned Friend recognises the importance of childhood immunisation and has encouraged parents by means of regular advertisements and leaflets to have their children immunised. Immunisation is not compulsory and the level of uptake depends on the interest of parents, general practitioners and health visitors.
