§ Mr. GristClwyd health authority was given additional funds of £56,000 in 1986–87 and has been offered some £80,000 in 1987–88 to help tackle the worst problems on hospital waiting lists. In addition, the authority is being encouraged to carry out management action aimed at shortening the time which patients have to wait.
