§ Mr. Warrenasked the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he will make a statement on recent developments in the bid by the United Kingdom to house the European Community Trade Marks office in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. MaudeThere has been little progress in Brussels recently towards reaching a decision on where to house the Community trade marks office. The European Commission drew up a short-list, including the United Kingdom bid, in February, but has not yet decided what its recommendation to the Council of Ministers should be. The Government are continuing to pursue their hid with vigour in Community circles.
