§ Mr. HurdRepresentations have been received direct from the Anti-Apartheid Movement about the safety of members of the African National Congress following the arrest of persons later charged with conspiracy to kidnap members of the ANC. A reply was sent on 21 August. I have not received any representations related specifically to attacks against the staff and property of the Anti-Apartheid Movement.
§ Mr. Wrayasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) if he will take measures to protect the property of the Anti-Apartheid Movement in the United Kingdom;
(2) if he will take measures to protect the safety of the staff working at the offices of the Anti-Apartheid Movement in the United Kingdom.
