§ The Attorney-GeneralInquiries by the Ministry of Defence into allegations of fraud in connection with Ministry of Defence contracts with Marconi have been in progress since March 1987. The investigating officers have recently sought and received advice from the Crown Prosecution Service fraud investigation group, and the inquiries are expected to continue for some months under the direction of the fraud investigation group.
