§ Mrs. RoeThe Department wrote on 24 September to the local authority associations and others inviting comments on the drafts of regulations to replace those of 1982. The revisions are needed to implement section 43 of the Housing and Planning Act 1986 — compulsory acquisition of land on behalf of parish or community councils—and to correct various errors and omissions. I have placed a copy of the consultation letter in the library.
