§ Mr. Galbraithasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he will give the total numbers of the Zimbabwe and Mozambique armed forces who have received training in the United Kingdom since 1980.
§ Mr. FreemanSome members of the Zimbabwean armed forces received training at Ministry of Defence establishments in the United Kingdom in each of the years 1980 to financial year 1986–87. A small number of Mozambiquan military personnel also received training at defence establishments in the United Kingdom in the financial years 1984–85, 1985–86 and 1986–87.
It is not our policy to reveal the details of training provided to foreign armed forces since such agreements are confidential between Her Majesty's Government and the Governments concerned.
